how to root moto e

The Moto E is a low end Android device by Motorola. The Moto E was launched in May 2014. The device features a 4.3" LCD display, with a resolution of 960x540. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. It has 4GB internal storage, with a microSD slot capable of up to 32GB. The Moto E has a 5MP camera and runs on Android 4.4.2. All this is backed by a 1980mAh battery.

FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER

WARNING:- Unlocking bootloader void warranty,i am not responsible for any damage and do it carefully.

INSTRUCTIONS:-
*.Take full backup of your device.
*.Download android sdk from here.
*.Put your device in fastboot mode (power off, then press the power and volume down buttons simultaneously).
*.Open Command Prompt on androidsdk/platform-tools/ (Hold Shift and right click and press open command window here)
*.Connect your Phone to PC
*.Type this in the CMD prompt window - fastboot oem get_unlock_data
*.You will get a return string. Copy it. [RightClick-Mark- Mark the text by pressing the shift key-Now press Ctrl+C]
*.Paste all the lines together in a notepad. Remove the empty spaces.
*.Now go to the MotorolaSite.Sign in using your Google account or Motorola ID. Scroll down the page and paste the copied string in the field at step #6. Then click on ‘Can my device be unlocked?’, after which a "REQUEST UNLOCK KEY" button will appear at the bottom of page.
*.To get your unlock key, select the ‘I Agree’ option. Note: You will receive an email with your Unlock Key at the email address you used to log in there.
*.Copy the 20-character key that Motorola sent you via email. Make sure your device is connected.
*.Then in CMD type: fastboot devices (To check your device is connected)
*.Then type: fastboot oem unlock UNIQUE_KEY

NOTE:In above command, replace the word ‘UNIQUE_KEY’ with the unlock code that you got via email. Then hit enter and the unlocking process should begin. Wait for a while and soon you’ll see ‘Bootloader Unlocked’ warning on your Moto E.


=> HOW TO ROOT 

*.Download The TWRP recovery from here and rename it recovery-twrp.img
*.Download The SuperSU from google and copy it into the root of your internal memory!
*.Connect your phone to PC and Reboot to bootloader by pressing VolumeDown+Power button for about 6-7 seconds.
*..Go to the directory in step 1, Do Shift+RightClick in empty space in the folder without selecting anything, Select Open a command window here.
*.Run following commandCode:fastboot boot recovery-twrp.img
*.Now touch doesn't work in recovery straight away, so wait 60 seconds without touching the phone, The phone screen will go blank.
*.Press power button and do swipe to unlock to get your touch working again!
*.Select Install, scroll down and find the SuperSU Zip downloaded in step 4.
*.Swipe to confirm, wait untill the flash is complete and then select reboot, to boot into your phone which is rooted now
*.Check your app drawer, There should be SuperSU installed. Congratulations you are rooted!
